Compeer is currently recruiting an AmeriCorps/ VISTA member for the 2011-2012 Serve NY program. Serve NY members will spend their year of service expanding and enhancing our services to veterans, service members, and their families by recruiting veterans to volunteer for Compeer; screening, training, and matching them with other vets; and providing match support. The Serve NY position offers a great way to gain hands-on skills and experience in the non-profit field. The Compeer position will begin in August.
In addition to a great team atmosphere at Compeer, the Serve NY program member will benefit from:
-Bi-weekly living allowance of $411.23
-Medical coverage
-Child care
-Relocation reimbursement (for members moving over 50 miles to serve)
-Qualified loan forbearance during your term of service and accrued interest paid
-Education Award of $5,350 upon completion of service or a $1,500 end-of-service stipend.
