| The
Road 2 Recovery Mental Health 5K Run and Wellness Walk is an
all-volunteer community group effort of providers, consumers, families,
and caring supporters committed to promoting awareness and raising
funds for mental health research, rehabilitation, and recovery in
Western New York.
This event is the ONLY local road race and
walk dedicated to mental health awareness. Proceeds from our annual
event are awarded as grants to local mental health providers and to
consumers for educational stipends.

The 2008 Road 2 Recovery Event was held on Friday, July 25th at St. George's Church in Delaware Park. A number of the Compeer family was present including staff in support of the cause. We had participants in the actual race and also recruiting at the event in hopes of spreading the mission of Compeer throughout Buffalo. At Compeer, we believe in supporting other organizations which help to promote recovery in the lives of individuals striving for good mental health.
