| Compeer of Greater Buffalo: "A family of friends united for healthy minds"
I want to thank all of our friends who have supported Compeer in so many ways and have been instrumental in helping us achieve our mission, to provide friendship to children, adults, and elders striving for good mental health. My hat is off to all of our friends who, while striving for good mental health, opened
their hearts to Compeer volunteers.
I tip my hat once again to all of the caring members of our community who have volunteered at Compeer. Based upon the simple premise that friendship is the best medicine, Compeer proves that people can make a difference one person at a time.
First Lady and Mental Health Advocate Rosalynn Carter once remarked that people who are all wrapped up in themselves make very small packages. Aside from the parent program in Rochester, Compeer of Greater Buffalo has grown into the largest affiliate in the National Compeer Network with a volunteer force of over 350. By embracing the mission of Compeer, extending a hand in friendship, we have shown that our community lives large.
